The farm is situated in the parish of Kingsbury Episcopi, Somerset, and has been operated by the same family partnership since 1930. Spanning 450 acres, the farm includes 230 acres of cider apple orchards and 220 acres of grassland used for hay production. The business is managed by four partners from three generations of the family.
We aim to enhance biodiversity and environmental sustainability by transforming intensive grasslands into thriving habitats, aligning with Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) principles. Through carefully managed projects, we create high-quality meadowlands that support wildlife, improve ecological connectivity, and meet conservation goals. By offering BNG units, we provide developers and businesses with a sustainable solution to meet environmental planning requirements while contributing to long-term ecological restoration.
We are offering 126.44 neutral grassland biodiversity units and 111.52 lowland meadow biodiversity units, These units represent restored and enhanced habitats designed to support wildlife, improve ecological connectivity, and meet conservation objectives. The neutral grassland units come from carefully managed grasslands transitioning to richer, more biodiverse habitats. The lowland meadow units focus on creating traditional wildflower-rich meadows, which are vital for supporting pollinators, birds, and other species. These units provide developers and businesses with an effective way to meet BNG requirements.
Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) units in the UK typically sell for £20,000 to £30,000 each, with some habitats priced even higher.
We are offering 126.44 neutral grassland units and 111.52 lowland meadow units at rates below the market average. By utilizing land naturally suited for these habitats and leveraging our extensive experience and expertise, we complete the work ourselves, reducing costs significantly. This integration with our existing hay production processes allows us to deliver high-quality BNG units at exceptional value while maintaining our core operations.

While accredited locally, our units are available to developers and businesses across the UK, offering a flexible solution for those seeking to fulfill BNG requirements or enhance their environmental commitments. This allows buyers from outside Somerset to invest in high-quality, verified units that contribute to meaningful biodiversity restoration while meeting planning or sustainability goals.
Our Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) units are a unique opportunity for developers and businesses to invest in high-quality, environmentally impactful habitat credits. Strategically located within the Somerset Levels Ramsar site, our project transforms historically grazed and hay-producing fields into vibrant neutral grassland meadows, enhancing biodiversity and creating critical wildlife corridors. The land’s suitability, confirmed through soil tests, ensures the long-term success of the habitat restoration, while its location adjacent to nature reserves and extensive hedgerows amplifies ecological connectivity.
By leveraging our expertise in land management and utilizing existing farming practices, we deliver these habitat units efficiently and cost-effectively, passing savings onto our buyers. Furthermore, our project aligns with regional conservation objectives, reducing carbon emissions and supporting climate resilience. When you purchase our BNG credits, you’re not only meeting regulatory requirements but also contributing to meaningful ecological restoration, all backed by a sustainable and proven management plan.
